I was hired onto Silicon Dreams as a consultant art director with a brief to "Sell the Cyberpunk"
I was only given 14 days to accomplish the goal, so effective planning and efficiency was paramount. After evaluating the existing levels my plan was:
-Overhaul colour palette to better reflect the traditional cyber-punk aesthetic to instantly establish setting to players
-Update cityscape to feel less desolate, more active and add visual interest with windows and neon signs - must haves for cyberpunk
-Update/replace existing office equipment with more theme-appropriate pieces.
-Add life to the scene through animated objects, blinking lights and holographic elements
Given the time and budgetary constraints, I was very pleased with the final results
All changes were done and implemented in engine (Unity) by me.
